Monifa K.
Watson dedicated her life to the Lord at
the age of 14 as a member of Apostolic
Faith Assembly (AFA) in Jamaica, New
York. After
graduating High School, Monifa relocated
to Atlanta, Georgia to attend Spelman
College. While there, she attended
The Victory House Ministry.
After graduating from Spelman
College, Monifa returned to New York and
AFA, which was renamed Christ Church
International. It was there
she met Minister Dean H. Watson. As an
adult, Monifa was an active member of the
Choir, Worship Team and Women's
Ministry.

Monifa has a Bachelor of Arts
in Economics from Spelman College, a Master of Science in
Non-Profit Management from Audrey Cohen College and a
Master of Public Administration from Baruch
College. She has worked in the financial and non
profit sectors for over 10 years. Former employers
include: Nationsbanc Mortgage Company, National
Development Council, Habitat for Humanity, NYC and
Consumer Credit Counseling Service. Currently
Monifa is the Program Director for HomeStretch, an agency
dedicated to providing housing and life skills to
homeless families.
Dean and Monifa Watson have
three beautiful children, Dean (Khi), Devon and
Mekayla. Monifa is the current President of the
Tussahaw Elementary School PTO. She is a member of the
Sisters In The Spirit Prayer Group, a graduate of
Leadership Henry, c/o 2007 and an avid community
volunteer.
